Skills are ready-made workflows that Stella, digital workers, and the Human Twin load when a request matches a task. Settings → Skills is where you manage the catalog for your organization. You choose which skills are on, create your own, edit their files, and go back to an earlier version. A skill runs for an agent only when both of these are true:

Who can manage skills

Admins and users with the Builder role can create, edit, turn off, duplicate, and archive skills, and make versions live. Other users who can open Settings → Skills see it read-only. See User management and roles.

The skills table

Go to Settings → Skills. The table has two sections:
  • System: skills Statisfy publishes for every organization. You can turn them on or off for your organization, but you can’t edit them.
  • Your organization: skills your team created or duplicated. Only these can be edited and have versions.
Each row has a switch that turns the skill on or off for your organization, and a ⋮ menu: Use the Enabled filter to show skills that are On, Off, or Archived. Archived skills are hidden by default. A line under the tables shows how many there are and turns the filter on. Click Wrap text to show full descriptions.

Turning a skill off

When you turn a skill off, the dialog names the agents that stop loading it. The skill stays attached to those agents, so they pick it up again when you turn it back on. For a System skill, Statisfy also asks Why is this being turned off? and records your reason.

Duplicating a skill

To customize a System skill, choose Duplicate to my organization from its ⋮ menu or from its panel. The copy appears under Your organization, where you can edit it and its files. Use Duplicate on one of your own skills to start a variant without changing the original.

Archiving a skill

Archive permanently retires one of your organization’s skills. It can’t be undone. The skill stops loading for every agent and is removed from every agent that has it attached. The dialog names those agents before you confirm. An archived skill is read-only and shows only its Overview tab.

Creating a skill

  1. In Settings → Skills, click New skill.
  2. Enter a Name, Description, and Instructions. Optionally turn on Run in a sub-agent and add a Parent addendum.
  3. Click Create. The skill appears under Your organization.
You can also start from an agent. In the agent’s Add Skills picker, click Create a new skill. Statisfy opens Settings → Skills in a new tab so you don’t lose unsaved edits on the agent’s form. When you create the skill there, Statisfy ticks it in the picker.
Digital workers can’t run sub-agents. If you plan to attach the skill to a digital worker, leave Run in a sub-agent off.

The skill panel

Click a skill to open its panel. The panel has four tabs.

Overview

Shows the skill’s description, runner, parent addendum, and instructions. For your organization’s skills, click Edit to change them. Saving creates a new version and makes it live.

Files

Shows the skill’s attached files as a file tree, with a preview of the selected file. For your organization’s skills, click Edit files to change them. From the tree’s ⋯ menu, or a folder’s menu, you can:
  • New file and New folder
  • Upload files or Upload a folder. You can also drag files onto the tree.
  • Rename, Move to…, or Delete a file, and Rename or move folder or Delete folder
  • Replace all from .zip to swap every file for the contents of a zip archive
Click Save to apply your changes. Saving creates a new version and makes it live. These limits apply:

Versions

Lists every saved version of one of your organization’s skills, with the live one marked Live.
  • Click Compare on any version to see what differs from the live version, including instructions, settings, and files.
  • Click Make live to make that version the live one. The dialog shows what changes before you confirm. To undo a change, make the earlier version live. To go forward again, make the newer version live.
