Addition of Email Domain and Verification

  • Prerequisites: IT or DNS Admin should help with the setup.
  • Log in to Statisfy
  • Navigate to Settings→DNS→Enter the Domain name and click on Add Domain Add a domain form in Statisfy DNS settings, with a domain name field, Add domain button, and an Advanced options section exposing the DKIM selector
  • IT or DNS admin should add the generated records (DKIM keys and mail server CNAMEs) to the DNS server. Statisfy DNS records table listing the DKIM key 1, DKIM key 2, and Mail server CNAME records to add at your DNS provider, with Host, Value, and verification status columns
Check a record before you click Verify. DNS changes can take a few hours to propagate (depending on your DNS provider), so a public lookup tool like MXToolbox SuperTool lets you confirm a record is published before clicking Verify in Statisfy. For any row in the DNS table:
  1. Switch the Host format toggle above the table to Full host — this gives you the complete name (e.g. s1._domainkey.yourdomain.com) instead of the relative one.
  2. Copy the value from the Host column of that row.
  3. In MXToolbox, prefix it with the lookup type from the Type column, then run it:
    • CNAME rows → enter cname:<host> (e.g. cname:s1._domainkey.yourdomain.com)
    • TXT rows → enter txt:<host> (e.g. txt:yourdomain.com for SPF)
  4. Compare the result MXToolbox returns against the Value column in Statisfy. If they match, the record is published. Click Verify in Statisfy to confirm — note that resolver caching may delay detection even after the record is published.
If MXToolbox returns nothing or a different value, the record either hasn’t propagated yet or was entered incorrectly at your DNS provider — re-check the Host and Value you pasted there.
  • Once done, click on Verify in Statisfy, and it can take a few hours (depending on your DNS provider) for the DNS setup to be completed and once everything is completed, the status becomes Verified.
Once the setup is done, you can use your own domain for sending emails/surveys, etc.

Managing Your Domains

  • Delete an unverified domain: if you added a domain by mistake or no longer need it, click Delete on its row. Only domains that haven’t been verified yet can be deleted — verified domains stay in place so the emails and surveys already using them keep working.
  • Re-check verification: click Verify on a pending domain at any time after your IT or DNS admin has added the records.

Why Campaigns Ask for a Verified Domain

Campaigns can only send from a verified domain. If you try to publish a campaign before verification is complete, Statisfy shows a “Domain Verification Required” message with a Go to DNS Settings button that brings you back to this page. Finish the verification above (or pick a sender email on an already-verified domain) and publish again.
