# What's new in the Workbench

> A before-and-after guide to the updated Workbench: where it lives, the new Queue, the Conversations and Meetings sections, and where familiar controls moved.

The Workbench has been reorganised. It now lives in the sidebar, opens on three sections, and treats each customer conversation as one item instead of one card per draft. This page walks through every change side by side, so you can find what you used before and see what replaced it.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Everything you could do before, you can still do. Drafts, sending, dismissing, Stella revisions, and version history all work as described in the [Workbench Overview](https://help.statisfy.com/workbench/overview.md). What changed is where things are and how the list is organised.

## Finding the Workbench

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Where it opens from** | The **Workbench** tab at the top of the Dashboard, next to **Dashboard**. | The **Workbench** row in the sidebar, under **Dashboard**. The top strip is gone. |
| **What you land on** | The queue, with the **Workbench** heading above it. | Three sections across the top: **Queue**, **Conversations**, and **Meetings**. |
| **My Meetings and My Emails** | Two rows under **Dashboard** in the sidebar. | No longer in the sidebar. Your meetings are the **Meetings** section; your customer threads are the **Conversations** section. Links and bookmarks to the old pages still open them. |

![The sidebar with My Meetings and My Emails rows and the Dashboard and Workbench strip above the queue](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-before-navigation.png)

Before: Workbench tab in the top strip, My Meetings and My Emails in the sidebar

![The sidebar with a Workbench row and the Queue, Conversations and Meetings sections above the queue](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-after-navigation.png)

After: Workbench row in the sidebar, sections across the top

> [!NOTE]
>
> The **Meetings** section appears when you have an **AI CSP** or **Notetaker** licence. Without one, you see **Queue** and **Conversations**, and **My Meetings** stays in the sidebar.

## The Queue

The Queue is still the list of items waiting for you, but it is organised by conversation rather than by draft.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Views** | **Actions**, **Review**, and **History**. | **Open** and **Closed**. The count on **Open** is what's waiting for you. |
| **One item is…** | One draft. Drafts from the same meeting or thread were grouped under a shared heading. | One conversation, showing its latest draft. Follow-ups from one meeting still group together. |
| **What a card shows** | Title, type icon, and how long ago it was prepared. | The same, plus an **Account · Channel** line above the title and the avatar of who drafted it, so you can tell your own drafts from a Digital Worker's. |
| **Replies you started yourself** | Not listed. | A reply you began in a thread's composer appears in **Open**, marked **Written in the thread**, so you can finish it later. A reply a Digital Worker is holding on one of your conversations appears there too. |
| **Meeting prep** | The **Review** tab, under **Meeting prep**. | The **Meetings** section, as the **Agenda** label on the meeting's row. See [Meeting prep](#meeting-prep). |
| **"No action needed" follow-ups** | The **Review** tab, under **No action needed**. | Retired. A meeting that needs no recap simply has no follow-up to review. |
| **Filtering** | A type dropdown: **All types**, **Emails**, **Slack**, **Teams**, **Tickets**, **Tasks**. | A **Filters** button. Set conditions on the item (**Type**, **State**, **Source**, **Drafted by**, **Title**, **Created**, **Completed**) or on its **Account**, and combine them. |
| **Sorting** | **Newest first** or **Oldest first**. | The same. |

> [!TIP]
>
> To get the old type filter back, click **Filters**, choose **Type**, and pick the types you want. To see only what a Digital Worker drafted, filter on **Drafted by**.

## Working on an item

The context panel and the Stella chat used to slide over the item. They now sit beside it.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **The context behind an item** | Click the context icon at the top of the item to slide the context panel over it. | The **Details** tab in the panel beside the item. Same content: customer header, the meeting or thread the item came from, and recent activity. |
| **Stella** | Click **Ask Stella** to slide the chat over the item. | The **Stella** tab in the same panel. The chat already knows which item you're working on. |
| **Seeing both** | One at a time, over the draft. | Switch tabs. The draft stays fully visible. |

## Replies open as the conversation

A drafted email, Slack, or Teams reply used to open in the action canvas. It now opens as the conversation it belongs to, with the conversation's own details beside it.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Opening a reply** | The draft in the action canvas, with the thread's messages above the composer and the action bar (**Why Workbench surfaced this**, the context icon, **Ask Stella**) at the top. | The conversation itself: a header with the account and message count, the messages, and your reply in the composer. |
| **Status and assignee** | Not shown. | In the **Details** tab. Change the conversation's status or assignee without leaving it. |
| **The side panel** | The context panel and Stella, one sheet at a time. | **Details**, **Stella**, and **History** tabs, always visible. |
| **Tabs** | One tab per draft. | One tab per conversation. Opening another item from the same thread takes you to the tab that's already open. |
| **Sending** | **Send via Gmail** or **Send via Outlook**, **Dismiss**. | The same buttons, under the composer. |

![The old Workbench with an email reply open in the action canvas, the thread above the composer and the context icon and Ask Stella in the action bar](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-before-reply-canvas.png)

Before: a reply opens in the action canvas

After: the same reply opens as its conversation

### Thread history

New. The **History** tab beside a conversation lists every reply drafted on that thread, newest first: the current draft, replies that were sent, and replies that were dismissed, each with when it happened and who acted. Select one to open it read-only, with its recipients and text as they were. Click **Copy text** to reuse wording from an earlier reply without changing what was sent.

![A conversation open in the Workbench with the History tab beside it listing a current draft, three sent replies and one dismissed reply](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-after-thread-history.png)

The History tab lists the thread's past replies

![The same conversation with a sent reply opened read-only from the History tab, with Close and Copy text buttons](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-after-thread-past-draft.png)

A past reply opens read-only, with Copy text

## Conversations

The **Conversations** section replaces the **My Emails** page and brings Slack and Teams threads in alongside email.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **What it is** | **My Emails**: a table of your email threads from the last 90 days, with sentiment and the linked account. | **Conversations**: every customer thread assigned to you, across email, Slack, and Teams, organised by status. |
| **Layouts** | A table. | **Board**: a column per status (**Needs Response**, **Waiting on Us**, **Waiting on Customer**, **On Hold**, **Closed**); drag a card to change its status. **List**: a status tab bar with the conversation open beside the list. |
| **Channels** | Email only. | **Email** and **Slack** chips, plus **Teams** while Microsoft Teams is connected. Click a chip to show one channel; click it again for all. |
| **Whose conversations** | Yours. | **My Conversations** by default. If people report to you, you can switch to **My Team**. If your role can see every account, you can also switch to **All Conversations**. |
| **Filtering** | Search, account, date range. | **Filters** on the conversation: account, participants, channel, and more. |
| **Opening one** | The activity record. | The conversation itself, with the composer and the **Details**, **Stella**, and **History** tabs. |

## Meetings

The **Meetings** section is the **My Meetings** table with one addition: an **Actions** column that tells you what the Workbench prepared for each meeting.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Where** | **My Meetings** in the sidebar. | The **Meetings** section of the Workbench. |
| **The table** | **Upcoming** and **History**, type chips, date picker, **Add Notetaker**. | The same, plus an **Actions** column after the title and a **Customer** chip for meetings with an account, whoever owns it. The section opens on **Customer**. |
| **The prep brief** | A **Meeting prep** item on the Queue's **Review** tab. | **Agenda** in the **Actions** column of the upcoming meeting. Click it to read the brief. See [Meeting prep](#meeting-prep). |
| **Asking Stella for an agenda** | The sparkle icon next to an upcoming meeting opened a Stella chat with an agenda. | **Generate Agenda** in the **Actions** column does the same. |
| **Follow-ups** | Reviewed from the Queue, under **Meeting follow-up**. | **Review** in the **Actions** column when a past meeting has a follow-up email or tasks waiting. **Reviewed ✓** once you've handled them, **Expired** if they aged out. Hover a label for the detail. |
| **Opening a meeting** | The activity record. | A meeting with drafts opens its review sheet: a strip of the meeting's drafts, the editor, and **Details** and **Stella**. Switch between **Review** and **Meeting** in the header. A meeting without drafts opens its activity record, as before. |

## Meeting prep

The brief Statisfy drafts ahead of an upcoming customer meeting is no longer a Queue item. It belongs to the meeting, in the **Meetings** section, which calls it the agenda.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Where it lives** | The **Review** tab of the Queue, under **Meeting prep**. | The **Meetings** section. An upcoming meeting with a brief shows **Agenda** in its **Actions** column. |
| **Opening it** | In the action canvas, with **Export**, version history, and **Ask Stella** at the top. | In the meeting's sheet, with **Export** and version history above it and the **Details** and **Stella** tabs beside it. |
| **What you do with it** | Read and edit it, then **Mark Reviewed** to clear it, or **Dismiss** it. | Read it and add notes. There is nothing to mark reviewed or dismiss. |
| **When it clears** | When you marked it reviewed or dismissed it, or on its own 30 minutes after the meeting ended. | On its own, 30 minutes after the meeting ends. It stays on the meeting, read-only and labelled **As drafted**. |

![The old Workbench on the Review tab with a meeting prep brief open in the action canvas: key stats, meeting agenda and talking points, with Dismiss and Mark Reviewed buttons below](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-before-prep-canvas.png)

Before: the brief opened from the Review tab in the Queue canvas, with Mark Reviewed

![The same prep brief open in the meeting's sheet in the Meetings section, with Export and version history above it and the Stella tab open beside it](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-after-meeting-agenda-sheet.png)

After: the same brief opened from its meeting in Meetings, with Stella beside it

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Generate Agenda** on a meeting's row asks Stella for an agenda in a new chat, as the sparkle icon on **My Meetings** did. The **Agenda** label is different: it means Statisfy drafted the meeting's brief on its own.

## Closed

**Closed** replaces the **History** view of the Queue.

| | Before | After |
| - | - | - |
| **Name** | **History**. | **Closed**, with its count. |
| **Date range** | **Last 7 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, or **Custom Range**. | The same picker. |
| **Type and state** | Two dropdowns: **All types** and **All states** (**Executed**, **Dismissed**). | The **Filters** button, with **Type** and **State** among the conditions. |
| **Rows** | One per draft. | One per conversation, showing the outcome of its latest draft: **Sent**, **Posted**, **Approved**, **Dismissed**, or **Auto-cleared**. |

![The old History view under the Workbench heading, with Last 30 Days, All types and All states dropdowns above the completed items](https://cdn.statisfy.com/help-artifacts/workbench/wb-before-history.png)

Before: the Workbench heading, then History with its date, type and state dropdowns
