# Managing Pinned Dashboards

> Pin dashboards to the main Reports page or account detail pages, and control display order.

<Warning>
  Pinning and unpinning dashboards is an **admin-only** feature. Non-admin users can view pinned dashboards but cannot change pin settings.
</Warning>

Pinning controls where dashboards appear throughout Statisfy. You can pin dashboards to the main Reports page, to account detail pages, or both.

### Pin Contexts

| Context              | Where It Appears             | Description                                                                  |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Pin to Dashboard** | Main Reports page | Dashboard appears in the Reports page dashboard list |
| **Pin to Accounts** | Account detail → Reports tab | Dashboard appears on individual account pages, auto-filtered to that account |

A single dashboard can be pinned to both contexts at the same time.

### How to Pin a Dashboard

1. Navigate to the **Reports** page.
2. Find the dashboard card you want to pin.
3. Click the **three-dot menu** on the card.
4. Select **Pin to Dashboard** or **Pin to Accounts** (or both).

A pin icon appears on the card to indicate where the dashboard is pinned.

### How to Unpin a Dashboard

1. Navigate to the **Reports** page.
2. Find the pinned dashboard card.
3. Click the **three-dot menu** on the card.
4. Select **Unpin from Dashboard** or **Unpin from Accounts**.

### Pin Indicators

Dashboard cards display small icons showing where each dashboard is currently pinned. This lets you quickly see which dashboards are available in each context without opening the menu. A card can show up to two pin icons — one for each context.

### Reordering Pinned Dashboards

Admins can change the display order of pinned dashboards within each context. The order determines:

* The sequence in which dashboards appear in the list.
* Which dashboard is **auto-selected** when a user opens the Reports tab on an account page — the first dashboard in the pinned order is selected by default.

### Pinned Reports on Account Pages

When dashboards are pinned to the Accounts context, they appear in the **Reports** tab on account detail pages:

* Pinned dashboards are shown as a selectable list in the sidebar.
* Data is automatically filtered to the current account — no manual filtering needed.
* The first dashboard in the pinned order is auto-selected.
* All view type, filter, and cross-filter features work the same as on the main Reports page.
* If no dashboards are pinned to Accounts, an empty state message directs users to the main Reports page to explore available dashboards.
