# Transcript Language & Reprocessing

If a meeting was transcribed in the wrong language — or the transcript just doesn't look right — you can pick the correct language and have Statisfy redo it from the original audio. Reprocessing regenerates the **transcript, summary, and action items** together.

## When this is available

Open a meeting or video activity and go to its **Details** view. If the recording can be reprocessed (it has audio and a speaker timeline), a **gear icon** labeled **Transcript settings** appears in the top-right of the details panel. It shows automatically for eligible recordings — there's nothing to turn on.

## Correcting the language

1. Click the **Transcript settings** gear. The popover shows the language the meeting was transcribed in: *"Transcribed in {language}. If this doesn't look right, pick the correct language and reprocess."*
2. Choose the right language from the **Language** dropdown.
3. Click **Reprocess**.

<Warning>
  Reprocessing **replaces** the current transcript, summary, and action items with new ones generated from the audio. It can take a few minutes and **can't be undone**. You'll see a confirmation dialog — *"Reprocess transcript"* — before it starts.
</Warning>

## What happens next

* The popover shows **"Reprocessing in progress…"** while it runs, and you'll get a **"Reprocessing started"** notification.
* When it's done, a **"The transcript has been reprocessed successfully"** message appears and the transcript view refreshes with the new content.
* The summary and action items are regenerated too, so they reflect the corrected transcript.

## Troubleshooting

<Accordion title="I don't see the Transcript settings gear">
  The gear only appears on the **Details** view of a meeting or video activity, and only when the recording can be reprocessed (it needs audio and a speaker timeline). Emails, tickets, and recordings without audio won't have it.

<Accordion title="It says reprocessing is already in progress">
  A reprocess is already running for this meeting — wait for it to finish (a few minutes) before starting another.

<Accordion title="Reprocessing failed">
  Try once more from the gear menu. If it keeps failing, the original audio may be incomplete — contact [support@statisfy.com](mailto:support@statisfy.com) with the meeting details.
