# Renewal Forecast

> See which renewals are likely to close, which are at risk and what moved this week, with the AI's reasoning behind each forecast and a way to overrule it.

The **Forecast** tab of the Renewals page shows every renewal closing in the selected period with the AI's forecast of whether it renews. It sits beside the **Close period** tab: same views, filters and time period, a different question. Close period asks *what closes when*; Forecast asks *how likely is each one, and what changed*.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Renewal forecasts are in alpha and may not be available in your workspace yet. Once available, an admin switches them on under **Settings → Customer Agent → Renewals**; see [Customer Agent](https://help.statisfy.com/admin/customer_agent.md).

### Accessing the Forecast

Open **Renewals** from the main menu and click **Forecast** in the switch at the top right. The view, filter and time period you pick apply to both tabs, and your choice of tab is kept in the page's link, so you can share a link straight to the forecast.

### Bands

Each open renewal gets a probability of renewing, from 0% to 100%, and sits in a band:

| Band | Probability | What it means |
| - | - | - |
| **Likely** | 75% and above | On track. |
| **Watch** | 50% to 74% | Could go either way; worth a look. |
| **At risk** | Below 50% | Needs attention. |
| **Not yet forecasted** | None yet | Either the renewal is still outside the forecasting window (the card says when forecasting starts), it is inside the window and waiting for its first assessment, or the agent ran and found too little to go on (the card says when it last checked). |
| **Closed won** / **Closed lost** | Stops at close | Forecasting stops once a renewal closes. The last forecast stays in its history. |

The probability comes from the Customer Agent's weekly pass over your customer data: conversations, support, product usage, the opportunity itself and the people on the account. Every forecast carries the agent's reasoning and the records it drew on.

### The Blocks at the Top

Five blocks summarize the period. Click any of them to see the renewals it counts.

| Block | What it adds up |
| - | - |
| **Up for renewal** | Every renewal closing in the period, with how many are already closed. |
| **AI-weighted forecast** | Each open renewal's amount multiplied by its probability, plus everything already closed won. Shown with the share of the up-for-renewal total it represents. |
| **At risk** | The amount in the At risk band, and how many renewals. |
| **Forecast change this week** | How much the weighted forecast moved in the last 7 days, at today's amounts. Green with a plus for a rise, red with a minus for a fall. Shows a dash in the first week, when there is nothing to compare against. |
| **Not yet forecasted** | The amount with no forecast yet, which the weighted forecast does not count. |

### Top Movers This Week

Under the blocks, **Top movers this week** lists the five renewals whose forecast moved most in the last 7 days, biggest move first, with the account's name and the move as a signed number (`+21`, `−18`) and the before and after probabilities. Click one to open its renewal. The row says "No forecast moved this week" when nothing moved, and appears only after the second weekly pass, once there is a week to compare.

### The Board

Six columns, one per band, each with its count and total amount. Within a column, renewals sort by amount, largest first. Each card shows:

* The account, with the renewal's name underneath only when the account has more than one renewal on the board.
* Amount and close date.
* The probability, as a pill in the band's colour.
* Up to three risks the agent found, with **+N more** when there are others. The full list is in the renewal's side sheet.
* Who set the forecast and when ("AI · 1d", or a person's name), with a lock when a person's value is being held, and the move over the last 7 days.

The two closed columns show the first five renewals and a **+N more** button for the rest.

### The Renewal Sheet

Click a card to open the renewal in a side sheet. Use the up and down arrow keys to step through the board's renewals and **Esc** to close.

The sheet's header names the account, linked to its page, and the renewal, linked to the account's Opportunities tab. Below it:

**Renewal forecast** shows the probability, the band and this week's move on one line, then who set it, when, and what it was a week ago. Under that, the agent's reasoning and chips for the records it cited, such as a meeting or an email, with a note on hover. **Change forecast** opens the editor described below. **History** lists every write to the forecast.

**Renewal risks** lists the risks the agent found, or "None found", or "Not assessed yet" before the first pass. **Change risks** opens the editor.

**Opportunity** shows the opportunity's Amount, Close date, Owner and Stage, and **All fields** reveals the rest of the record: Type, Source, Status, Created, the CRM ID and your custom fields. Fields with no value are left out.

**Recent** lists the last three writes to the forecast and why each happened: the weekly check, a re-assessment someone asked for, or a person's change.

**Re-assess now**, at the bottom, asks the agent to assess the account again. It can be used once a day per account, by anyone, and the sheet watches for the new forecast and shows it when the run finishes, usually within a few minutes. The button is unavailable when the renewal has closed, when it is outside the forecasting window, when every renewal field is held by a person's change (the agent would change nothing), or when forecasts are switched off for the workspace.

On a closed renewal the sheet shows when it closed and the opportunity's fields; the forecast and risk editors are gone, since forecasting has stopped.

### Changing a Forecast or the Risks

The forecast and the risks are [AI-managed fields](https://help.statisfy.com/custom-fields/ai_managed_fields.md), so a person can overrule either one with a reason, and the agent is told that reason on its next pass.

1. Click **Change forecast** or **Change risks** in the sheet.
2. The dialog shows the current value and who set it. Enter the new probability, or add and remove risks. A risk already on the list can't be added twice.
3. Fill in **Why**. It is required, and it is what the agent reads next time, so say what it did not know: "Spoke to their VP yesterday, budget is frozen until Q1."
4. Choose **Keep my value for**: 7, 14 or 30 days, **Until the renewal closes**, or **Not at all** to save the value but let the agent update it on its next run. The default length is set by your admin.
5. Click **Save**.

While your value is held, the agent leaves that field alone and the card shows a lock. The other field is still assessed: holding the risks does not hold the forecast. To hand the field back to the agent early, open the dialog again and click **Remove my override**.

> [!TIP]
>
> A forecast the agent has never written starts on **Not at all**: filling in an empty forecast is covering a gap until the first assessment, not overruling one.

### Exporting the Forecast

Click **Export** on the Forecast tab to download the board as a CSV, respecting the selected view, filters and period. Rows follow the board's order, column by column. Each row is a renewal with: Account, Renewal, Amount, Close date, Status, Band, Forecast %, Change 7d (points), Risks, Forecast by, and Held until.
